This scholarship is open to international students preparing for their Masters degrees and awarded on the basis of demonstrated academic merit.
The Jacques Hadamard Mathematical Foundation (FMJH) offers master’s grants for a period of one to two years to French or foreign students.
They are intended for students who wish to enroll in one of the “Mathematics and Applications” Master’s programs carried by the member institutions of the FMJH.
A jury selects the winners by applying the criteria defined by the Scientific Council of the FMJH, foremost among which is excellence.
As this program aims to encourage young talents to pursue research in mathematics, candidates are invited to pay particular attention to the drafting of the cover letter appearing in their file.
The amount of the allowance can be up to 10,000 euros per year with, in addition, a contribution to the registration fees (approximately 500 euros) and for foreign students an allowance for travel costs which can go up to 2000 euros per year.
The FMJH can reserve accommodation for first-time foreign scholarship holders in university residences.
Priority is given to applications for the second year of the Master program (M2), however applications for the first year (M1) or both years M1 and M2 are also considered.
