Each year, ARES grants an average of 130 scholarships for baccalaureate holders as part of continuing education programs to nationals of its partner countries.

Presentation of the scholarship

The Specialized Master in Public Health Methodology aims to develop and strengthen the methodological skills of public health actors, with an emphasis on the problems of middle and low income countries, but not limited to them.

Thanks to such an acquisition, future graduates will be able to develop, direct, implement and evaluate public health programs and projects, in international institutions, ministries of health, hospitals, as managers of districts or centers. health, researchers in universities, research institutes, and within the framework of international research projects for example.

The program is developed in such a way that graduates operate in operational and / or scientific research projects.

This Specialized Master thus addresses the methodologies of analysis and investigation of major health problems, including a global health approach.

It also aims to give learners a solid foundation for a systemic understanding of health problems as well as contextual and environmental factors that can determine responses to major health problems.

The Specialized Master in Public Health Methodology is open to a wide range of practitioners (doctors; nurses and other paramedics with additional training in research; social science professionals involved in public health; biostatisticians and researchers in public health; decision-makers and executives …).

This training is a Specialized Master, that is to say a master after a previous master or equivalent. Therefore, the general admission requirement for the course is that students must have a degree at least equivalent to a master’s degree (5 years of university education).

The introduction of a scholarship application must be done according to the introduction procedures and meet the admissibility criteria described below.

The selection of scholarship holders is carried out by a selection panel for each training course after analysis of their administrative admissibility by ARES.

ARES does not charge any fees at any stage of the application or selection process whatsoever.

Please note, compliance with the admissibility criteria in no way guarantees selection and eligibility for training.

Applicants do not need to obtain prior admission to one of the French-speaking higher education institutions in Belgium to be able to apply for ARES scholarships.

Applications must be submitted via GIRAF by January 28, 2022 at 12 noon (Belgian time, UTC + 1) at the latest.

Applications submitted after this date will not be taken into consideration.

All successful and reserve candidates will receive an email after selection (June 2022).

Unsuccessful applicants will receive an email by the end of June 2022 at the latest.
