ARES scholarships offer you the possibility of following a one-year bachelor’s or specialized master’s degree or continuing education between 2 and 6 months within an establishment of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium.
Each year, ARES grants an average of 130 scholarships for baccalaureate holders as part of continuing education programs to nationals of its partner countries.
Presentation of the scholarship
The objective of this training is to develop expertise in the processing, use and analysis of data generated by the activities of a company.
More concretely, students learn within the framework of this specialization bachelor’s degree to process, analyze, combine, transform, model and present data into exploitable and useful knowledge in order to create value and facilitate decision-making.
The skills developed by this training are as follows:
- Interpret quantified data and help decision-making
- Strengthen professional skills in terms of hard and soft skills
- Manage and adapt to change
This training allows the development of specialized skills in:

The selection of scholarship holders is carried out by a selection panel for each training course after analysis of their administrative admissibility by ARES.
All files received between the first and the last day of the call will be treated equally.

Admissibility criteria
Applying for an ARES scholarship is completely free.
ARES does not charge any fees at any stage of the application or selection process whatsoever.
For his request to be admissible, the candidate must:
- Has nationality, resides and works in one of the countries mentioned above.
- Have a diploma comparable to a Belgian 1st cycle diploma
- Evidence of a relevant professional occupation
- Complete the file in the language in which the training is given and can attest to a good written and spoken knowledge of it.
- Apply for only one training.

The selection phase is carried out by a deliberating jury organized for each training.
ARES grants the selection panel the right to assess the compliance of the files with the common selection criteria described below, taken individually or in combination with one another.

How to apply for the Business Data Analysis Scholarships?
The submission of a scholarship application must be done according to the introduction procedures and meet the admissibility criteria.
Applying for an ARES scholarship is completely free.
ARES does not charge any fees at any stage of the application or selection process whatsoever.
Your application must be submitted to ARES via the GIRAF platform:
- You must first make sure you have an active GIRAF account.
- This account will then be validated by ARES and you will receive a confirmation email to create a password and connect.
- You can create an account on the GIRAF platform via this link .
- Once connected to your GIRAF account, you can access the application form
- From the moment you click on “Submit my application”, your file is sent to ARES and you can no longer modify it.
Other information
Please note, compliance with the admissibility criteria in no way guarantees selection and eligibility for training.
Applicants do not need to obtain prior admission to one of the French-speaking higher education institutions in Belgium to be able to apply for ARES scholarships.
Applications must be submitted via GIRAF by January 28, 2022 at 12 noon (Belgian time, UTC + 1) at the latest.
Applications submitted after this date will not be taken into consideration.
All successful and reserve candidates will receive an email after selection (June 2022).
Unsuccessful applicants will receive an email by the end of June 2022 at the latest.
